Having decided to take an early holiday break at the beginning of March we arrived on Saturday morning in Bournemouth. During the night of the Saturday I became ill with uncontrolable shivers. I was taken to Bournemouth NHS hospital by my wife at 7 a.m. on the Sunday morning to receive treatment.
The A & E staff were extremely competent and helpful and I cannot praise the treatment I received too highly. I had blood taken, temperature and respiration watched, also X-rays of chest and lower abdomen. The outcome was that I had a slight shadow on my left lung which needed treatment with antibiotics.
The outcome was that I went home later that day after the treatment was completed.
