Anything else?
Nurses told the elderly people in the ward my mum was in to wet (or mess) their beds if they wanted to go to the loo and the nurses would change the bedding later. Mum was very upset about this one day and on the next occasion she insisted on walking to the loo herself despite being supposedly in there for bed rest.
What must that have done to people's self respect and feelings of dignity?
