"Filthy Ninewells Hospital"

My daughter in law was admitted to the gynae ward at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, recently. When I went to collect her I was appalled to see the state of the place. The corridor to the ward was grubby and then I saw the nursing staff! Most of them had an unkempt appearance with crumpled greying uniforms and one in particular had hair that looked as if it hadn't seen a brush for days. My daughter in law had bought new slippers for her stay, she was only there for two days and the slippers weren't just dirty they were actually black! There was a sign beside her bed saying that visitors were not to sit on the beds or chairs - who would want to? The armchair had splits in the arms, that could harbour germs, and the cushion and piping round the entire chair was encrusted with grime. It was disgusting - no wonder there is so much infection.
