i took my son to Southmead A&E on a sunday evening as he fell from the ladder of his bunkbed and hurt his arm and was in alot of pain!! we seen the consultant who just assumed he dislocated his elbow and tried un dislocated it which caused my little boy alot of pain. he had xrays done of his arm which was very painfull for him, and the same consultant told me there was no brake or fracture. with my son still in pain. so the consultant tried un dislocating his arm again, at this time my son was screaming and i was in tears!! the doctor found it difficult to try and undislocated so he asked another doctor to have a try! this was the third time my son had endure pain of haveing his arm "put back in to place". with them both unable to sort it they told me they got a third opinion from a radiographer who told them that she could see a fracture in my sons arm!! the doctors did appologise for the pain they put my son in, and left me with just a sling and told me to wait for a phone call from bristol childrens hospital to give me an appontment for him to be seen!! i ignored this and took him straight to bch in which the doctor we seen was disgusted that my son wasnt casted and left in his state by southmead and he was very quick to check the xrays and cast my son up!! 3 days later i get a rude call from bch that i have missed a booked appointment for my son which means if i didnt take him as soon as i did he would of been left for three days with a broken arm! with no care!!
"two year old left with fractured elbow till next..."
