I have recently delivered my baby on the delivery suite at birmingham womens hospital.
Yes I had to wait at antenatal appointments, yes I had to wait to be seen in triage and yes following a propess induction I had to wait 3 days to have my waters broken.
However, all staff members were fantastic, taking time to explain things to me including the reasons for my delay in having my waters broken. At all times I felt myself and baby were in good hands.
When I had my waters broken there were some complications which required a doctors presence. And actually I would have spent double triple quadrupal the time delayed in waiting rooms in the antenatal period knowing that a midwife and doctor would be there when I needed them most - food for thought all you people moaning about your long waits.
"All staff members were fantastic"
