After recently having pre- eclampsia I had been previously visiting rusper ward for monitoring of of high blood pressure and there treatment was excellent, I was then rushed into delivery suite and there treatment and care we're amazing - it's was the nicest experience through what was a traumatic birthing experience there support and help was second to none they are a real credit to the NHS and to there training and dedication - that being said after having and emergency c section you are then transferred onto burstow ward which in comparison is like being thrown onto a third world country - they didn't give me pain relief unless I asked for it they forgot to get me out of bed and to remove my catheter and I had to buzz three times for this - they didn't explain anything about what had happened and what was going to happen - didn't help me with breast feeding and infact were generally far too busy to be helpful I infact went up to the nurses station to ask for medication and got barked at - upon discharge I wasn't given any after care information and pretty much was just chucked out of the door - I think in general the problem was they were too busy with too many ladies to look after that as a result you barely got looked after and was a horrible place upon reflection to have gone to after the wonderful care that you receive on delivery suite - I'm not a complainer normally but I have been so shocked I felt I couldn't do anything but.
