"thank you"

About: Glenfield Hospital

I recently came into Glenfield for surgery to remove a tumour on my lung I was very apprehensive But the nurses were very reassuring The operation went well and the Tumour removed I am so grateful to the doctor and the team involved. The after care in recovery was wonderful as was the care of many of the nurses who cared for me until I was discharged. I am really sorry to have to say that on one night that care was not in place one nurse was I felt unfriendly and unpleasant I was actually quite afraid to ask her for help.i wasn't the only one who felt it that night. I felt I had to mention it. But I am grateful for what was done for me

Dear reviewer, Thank you for taking the time to post your comment. We are really pleased to hear that your operation went well and that you have received a high level of after care. However, it is unacceptable for any members of staff to be unfriendly and unpleasant towards patients, so I would like to investigate this further. Please could you contact me, Jo Bayes, Deputy Head of Nursing with your details and any additional information from this night, on either Johanna.bayes@uhl-tr.nhs.uk or 0116 258 4204. Kind regards, Jo Bayes Leicester's Hospitals
