What I liked

The team in Central Delivery Suite, SCBU and Maternity A were wonderful. The level of care for me and baby was fantastic. The team all worked so well together and I felt that although many people were involved the care was consistent. They gave a comforting feeling of control, but at the same time allowed me to make decisions. I never felt as though I was wasting time even with my constant queries. There was also great handover with the Community midwives who also provided a fantastic level of care both before and after the birth. Having stayed in the hospital for a week I also want to thank the catering and housekeeping team. The food was tasty and nutritious and the areas were spotlessly clean. There are too many names to mention everyone, but there was one Midwife in particular that I would like to thank who saw me when I arrived at the hospital and looked after me very well, did a brilliant job of managing my delivery and then provided some great advice with some post natal problems that I was having. She has a lovely personality which shows in her work and is clearly passionate about making the right decisions for patients. Thanks to everyone involved in my experience.
