"Wonderful staff"

I came in for a full hysterectomy and cannot fault the care. I arrived early and waited in the day room and was then taken to my room on time. The staff were wonderful at all times even when you knew they had been busy and were tired after 12 hour shifts. My only grumble is that the SHO ( who had only read my notes and seen me for about 3 minutes ) was prepared to release me 48 hours after major surgery which i was not ready for. I had been on oxygen for 12 hours and still has a catheter in when the SHO came in. I said that i wasn't ready to leave and the nursing staff were happy for me to stay another night - they had seen how i had been for the past 36 hours. I was discharged the next day. The staff were wonderful and my treatment excellent. A big thankyou to the Maple Ward team.
