"Great support throughout"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a parent/guardian),

My 18 year old daughter had a seizure and not having seen it happen before I was worried and dialled 999. The operator was wonderful, asking me lots of questions and then passed me onto a paramedic, who stayed on the phone to me until the ambulance arrived. Although it felt ages for the ambulance to arrive it was only about 15 minutes. I was relieved to have someone one with me (on the phone) all the time.

Dear CAL9

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I hope your daughter has recovered well and is feeling much better now.

It is always rewarding to hear that our staff are continuing to provide excellent care to our patients, and their parents, when they need us most.

I would like to pass your kind comments onto the call handler, and ambulance crew who came to your daughters aid. Would you be able to contact me, laura.martin@swast.nhs.uk or call 01392 453831, at your convenience, with the date and address that the ambulance attended? This would allow me to identify the staff involved and ensure they are recognised for the care they gave.

Thank you again for providing feedback on our service.

Kind regards

Laura
