"Unsatisfactory care involving a head injury"

About: The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (King's Lynn)

I waited 20 minutes at reception, then she took my details and told me to wait for the nurse. I then waited 45mintues to see the nurse, they were very abrupt and was chewing gum which I see as unprofessional. I was then told to wait for the doctor. I waited 1hour and 30mintues to see the doctor after watching 5 people go in to see the doctor who had arrived after me, baring in mind I had suffered a head injury! I then saw the doctor and took my injury not a seriously as it should've been. They have me some tablets which I had to wait 20mimtues for and then told me to go home, even though I had passed out before and after taking the tablets. I don't see this as good enough care

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your experience in the Emergency Department. I am sorry that you had to wait to be seen and were dissatisfied with the care and attention you received. I will pass on your comments to the Nursing Sister and Consultant in charge to follow up within the department but if you would like me to investigate your concerns further I would be happy to do so. My contacts details are at the foot of this response. I hope that you are now fully recovered from your injury.
