"Not happy with this hospital the ..."

About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

(as the patient),

What I liked

Not happy with this hospital the nurses did not seem to communicate or read my file notes they put the wrong name on my wrist band when I was due to go into theatre. Very slow when I needed medication after my operation. Did not give me a discharge letter when I left.

What could be improved

Everything.

Anything else?

Would never go back to this hospital or reccommend it.

We are disappointed that your experience of the QEII was not a good one, although we hope presume that your operation was successful and you are now recovering well.

You have raised important issues that deserve to be investigated further. You don't say whether or not you attempted to raise them with the senior nursing staff in charge of the ward you were on or with one of our duty matrons - all of whom are there to help resolve problems as and when they occur.

Either way, we would welcome a complaint if you are willing to make one. Simply send the details by e-mail to patcomplains.enh-tr@nhs.net and the matter will be investigated in full and a detailed response shared with you.

We hope that you do follow this up as without your input, we have few ways of identifying the exact problems in your care, their cause and what can be done to rectify them.
