About: Guernsey House Primary Care Addiction Service Sheffield (PCASS)

I wanted to write about the moving of PCASS at Guernsey House to the Fitzwilliam Centre.

Reading the patient opinions on both centres really says it all. The service I have had from Guernsey House has been outstanding; I can't say enough for the quality of the service. My prescribing nurse, Louise Kandler has been fantastic all the way through my treatment; even the staff on reception are great.

I think it's terrible that the service will be moved to Fitzwilliam because the service there is nothing like as good. While I felt completely supported at Guernsey House, friends of mine who are at Fitzwilliam have all said very negative things about it. Some of the staff there are, I believe, very judgemental and unprofessional.

The only thing I can say about the move is that it will give me the incentive to stay off drugs so that I don't need to go through the system at Fitzwilliam! I just hope that the staff at Guernsey House get some recognition for their hard work and professionalism.

Thank you so much for the positive review of our service at Guernsey House. I will thank Louise and our reception staff on your behalf and make sure they see your lovely comments.

The move to the Fitzwilliam Centre will be a significant change for all our service users as well as the staff that are transferring too. Please be reassured that we will be doing all we can to make the transition as smooth as we can. Wherever possible we are making the October appointments with your existing prescriber or keyworker.
