About: Shropshire and Staffordshire Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

My experience of the vlinic I attended. (Cardiology dept) Very quick & speedy. I checked in in reception & didn't even get to sit down in the waiting room I was called straight in & after the ultrasound I saw the consultant & was then on my way home in no time at all.

The nurse & consultant were very professional & caring, and explained what was going on and what would happen next. I was very impressed.

I didn't get a choice of hospital for my next appointment when it comes through I have to go to new cross and I know they do angiograms at the princess royal telford which is just down the road very odd.

Thank you for sharing your comments with the TRAQS team following your recent referral.

Due to the longer than expected waiting times at local hospitals the Telford and Wrekin CCG in conjunction with New Cross Hospital recently established a 'One Stop Cardiology Assessment Clinic' at which patients can undergo specific tests and receive the results immediately from the consultant in clinic.

I am disappointed to hear that you do not appear to have been informed that this service is provided by New Cross Hospital and that any further tests/treatment required will be provided at New Cross Hospital. TRAQS have an information sheet which should have been enclosed with your letter advising patients of this information. I will ensure that the team receive a reminder to include the information leaflet for all patients attending the Donnington Cardiology Clinic.
