"Sure welcome at Sure Start"

About: Cotgrave Children's Centre

(as a parent/guardian),

I'm a young mum who feels us young mums sometimes get looked down on.

I started attending Surestart bumps and babies at Cotgrave when my little girl was only a few days old. They made us feel very welcome and loved the activities and help and support they had to offer. We attended most of the groups as she started growing. We both loved these groups and we met lots of other mums in the area with whom we are still friends with now.

My little girl was very shy around others but when we attended sure start she was a different child. Sure start brought her love of action songs in to her life and messy play (messiest child ever now lol). But no matter what age one was, they welcomed all and you felt no different when you attended the groups. Cotgrave Sure Start gave us something to do and gave me the bond I have with my lg now. Everyone who I know I recommend going to the groups and I will never forget the staff working in the groups x

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to post your experience on this site, it does help shape the future of services and it sounds like you have received an excellent service from dedicated team members at Sure Start.

It is great to hear that you advocate for Sure Start, sharing your experience with others demonstrates your confidence and the excellent relationship you have developed with the team and your peers.

May I wish you and your daughter have many more positive experiences at Cotgrave Children's Centre.
