"Service was excellent"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

My son managed to get a large wooden splinter lodged under his finger nail and attended the minor injuries unit at Wishaw General. He needed a local anaesthetic injected around the base of his finger and then the consultant had to try and remove the small fragments of wood using a needle. The procedure was fully explained to my son who is 11years and he remained totally calm throughout.

I service was excellent and I cannot fault it in any way - communication both with myself and my son, full explanation and what to do if he encountered any further problems.
