"overseas patient"

About: National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery - Queen Square

i was excited to be referred under an Overseas Government Scheme of funding to be sent to queens to be under a renown professor there. years of grief and suffering in a small country with no care at all for a condition i have left me delighted to be going over to Queens. Unfortunately as i was flying in, my primary consultant was flying out! i was not allocated a consultant although one came and sat on the bed for five minutes once, in three weeks. some tests were done in the first week and after that i was left in the bed for a further two. no, never saw a consultant in all that time and had no one to speak to at all about my symptoms or what was going to happen and what care plan was going to be devised. this was requested by my government. no care plan was devised. not only that the night i was preparing to fly out, those overseeing my care didnt even understand that i was from a different country and the next morning no breakfast was provided to prepare for a long journey with a neurodegenerative disorder! I packed, went down to the hall, rang for a taxi and i was away from that place. i doubt i feel i want to ever see it again. it shows a contempt of the hospital not to have fulfilled the brief laid out by two consenting health structures of two nations. it has now left me in a position where i am no further along with a diagnosis, no health care plan or treatment and no chance to get out of my country again and this to me was the biggest missed opportunity i was ever unfortunate to have. i am devasted, utterly devasted this has happened me. where does this leave me i have to ask in disbelief? seven months later, i have only received another letter which told me that which i was given as summary when i was leaving the place. not good enough by a mile and more.
