There parking for disabled outpatients is woefully inadequate. Very very few places near the main entrance and recently they even blocked parking to a stretch of road opposite the entrance. During the year I have asked PALs to find out how the number of disabled parking bays were calculated,to this day I have not heard of them despite reminding them. The result of this shortage of adequate places that disabled patients have to park in a normal bay, squeezing against a car on one side in order to be able to swing to door open wide on the other side in order to get out or get a rollator or wheelchair out. Then of course is the long track to the building. I suspect that Barnet General has one of the worst disable parking to normal parking ratio in the country. The biggest problem is that nobody cares.
