"Time for communication between Hospitals and GPs to be brought up to date"

About: Blackpool Victoria Hospital / Vascular surgery Lancashire

(as the patient),

It's about time communication between hospital reports and a patient's GP was brought up to date. Today we use computers not horse back but it may be faster on horse back. Maybe they should train the staff using computers better. Just been in BVH with a blood clot, had to be catheterized, told by doctor it would be removed in three days by district nurse. Nobody knows anything about me or me being at BVH.

Teddyboy,

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback on your recent treatment at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

I am sorry to hear that there seems to have been a breakdown in communication. I do urge you to contact a member of my team on 01253 955589 or pals@bfwhospitals.nhs.uk, so they can get some more information to fully investigate your concerns.

Kind Regards

Paul Jebb

Assistant Director of Nursing (Patient Experience)
