I had the need to stay for 36 hours after an emergency attendance, The hospital is organised and I was treated well. However, I was staggered to find the hospital still uses sexist job titles and do nothing to encourage male employees. This means that men have no choice with the sex of the health professional they have to attend to them. Please stop using the name sister or matron. They are outdated. You do not use brother or patron. Please use gender neutral job titles which will help you recruit more men and also provide better care for all your patients.
