"Holiday punctured lung!"

About: Dorset County Hospital

My son has just spent 10 days in Dorchester hospital after his lung collapsed on the first night of our holiday in Burton Bradstock. He was admitted to the children's ward and I cannot thank the nursing staff enough for all the care, kindness and support they gave to our whole family during this traumatic time. Well done Kingfisher Ward, we will be forever in your debt.

Thank you for such lovely comments on how well the staff on Kingfisher ward cared for you and your son; I will make sure this is shared with the team. It is really upsetting as a parent to see your child in such distress and so I am particularly pleased that you felt our staff cared for the entire family as well as your son during his admission. I hope he is making a good recovery and you are able to come and visit Dorset again, without such a traumatic event happening. Kind regards, Alison Tong, Director of Nursing, Dorset County Hospital
