"Very helpful and prompt treatment"

About: Caterham Dene Hospital

Upon recognising that a recent operation wound was becoming painful on a Saturday afternoon and reluctant to wait until Monday for a GP appointment, or join an anticipated multi-hour wait at ESH, the MIU provided a very good service. When I called the MIU, the phone was answered immediately and after explaining my problem I was advised that a nurse could examine me and the likely waiting time would be an hour. I was seen by a very knowledgeable and personable nurse just over an hour after arriving. I was diagnosed with an infected wound and provided with a course of antibiotics and provided with follow-up advice. Thank you very much.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a comment about our Minor Injuries Unit, I am only sorry that we have not responded sooner.

We are delighted our team were able to treat you at the weekend and save you having to go to A&E. We will share your comments with the whole team.

Thanks once again,
