"father admitted A&E several admissions ongoing..."

About: Salisbury District Hospital

lst couple of admissions treated well after this treatment deteriorated. After 3rd and fourth admissions, member of staff intimated he was a time waster this is a 92 year old man who still lives independantly, has worked all his life until retirement with the exception of wartime when he flew lancaster planes in bomber command. On two occasions I requested to see the sister with a view to making arrangements before he went home for some form of care plan for my father as he has become rather frail due to his hospitalisations. On each occasion was told sister was busy but told she would contact me. This never happened. I will say at all times the Doctors were extremely kind and efficient also the care workers were very consciencious.

Thank you for telling us about your father and for detailing his experiences with us; we are sorry to hear there was a breakdown in communication. We’d like to be sure your father now has a care plan in place and that he and you are happy with it. Please could you contact our customer care department on CustomerCare@salisbury.nhs.uk or 0800 374208? We hope your father is coping well at home and thank you for taking the time to include the good aspects of his treatment too.
