When I went into labour with my son I was told I wouldn't be given birth for another 24 hours after I was admitted, which was about 2am. I was given pethadine and an anit sickness drug which I requested but after that all care was non-existance. I had my partners sister and my sister with me during the labour, and they were continuosly going outside to ask the midwives on duty to come and see me. I was requesting gas and air but no one came to offer me anything, and I was in a lot of pain as is most women at this time.

When I knew I the baby was coming and had the urge to push, the midwives told me the baby wasn't coming, unitl they checked about 10 mionutes later and knew I was right.

The delivery was just as worse as the midwives were telling me not to scream or make any noise because it will affect my baby hand how he would behave.

I couldn't help but scream, the pain was intense and they made me feel guilty doing so!

And then, after the birth my dad recognised an accent of one of the midwives and asked if it was of a certain country, and she wasvery rude in her response telling him he was correct and in future to mind his own business!

If it weren't for my post natal treatment which was excellent I would have wanted to get out of there as soon as possible!

I'm having my twins at this hospital despite my previous experience, but this is because it's the nearest hospital to me and I'm familiar with the layout and what to expect!
