"visit to A and E after road traffic accident"

About: John Radcliffe Hospital

On the 19th of June 2014 at around 4pm i was traveling towards didcot when my van was hit from behind by another car at traffic lights.paramedics and police arrived and I was taken to the j r hospital.after 15 minute's a bed was found and was taken to a cubicle and waited to see a doctor.i had injured my neck.the nurse looked after me very well until the doctor arrived.the department was fairly busy but I felt very well looked after by the nurse and the rest of the staff.when the doctor arrived he was very kind and asked me about my accident. I was then taken through to the trauma room where he Checked my spine and neck.thankfully I only had whiplash so my neck collar was removed and I was sat up on the bed before being allowed to leave and told to take painkillers.i am very great full to everyone involved in my care from the roadside to the hospital.i was very scared by the time I arrived at the hospital but as soon as the nurse spoke to me I felt a bit more relaxed.i was treated well at all times.i have only been in hospital once before at another hospital and I was looked after well then as well.i think the n h's do a great job and all the staff are great.thank you for looking after me and if I do have to visit hospital again I hope It is the jr.i would also like to thank the 2 paramedic crews who helped me.

Thank you very much for your positive feedback, though I am sorry to hear of the unfortunate circumstances surrounding your visit to us. I am very glad that your injuries were not as severe as they could have been, and that you were well cared for by a whole range of staff members, nurses, doctors, and paramedics. It has been a pleasure to share your thanks with the staff teams, who I know appreciate knowing that they have done a great job. We would be very grateful if you could also complete our quick 30-second questionnaire at http://patientperspective.org/OUH/. The ratings from the survey help us to monitor patient experience over time.
