"Happy with Hemel"

About: Hemel Hempstead Hospital

I went to the Minor Injuries Unit at St Albans Hospital on 14th May after falling, or rather flying, off my bike. The x-rays showed that I had broken both wrists and my right elbow. They contacted the Hemel Fracture Clinic, who said that they would take me there and then. Having arrived, I was seen by a consultant after a short wait, who examined me, looked at the x-rays and then ordered plaster for my left arm and a splint for the other. I came back after three weeks to have them removed and was given a conditional discharge. On both visits I found the staff, without exception, polite, pleasant, good humoured and helpful. My experience of the Hemel Fracture Clinic has been wholly positive. Thank God for the NHS. [N. B. You need a 'Not applicable' button for the last two categories in section 2, because that is what my 'Neither satisfied nor dissatisfied' means.]
