"Disgusted"

About: King's Mill Hospital

Got very extreme stomach pain phoned ambulance told "not life threatening" waited for taxi. Waited in A&E , given 2 paracetamol back to A&E, taken to waiting room, blood taken 2hrs later ID band not put on. Called to see doc 2 hrs later no medical info from last admission, sent back to waiting area, seen by different doc no food or drink sent to cubicle to wait for consultant left from 2am until 6am in a cold cubicle with no covers on plastic mattress, bright light which did not turn off. In pain with no pain killers allowed, no sleep possible, got a call on my mobile around 5am from my family (at my home) telling me kingsmill had called to find out where I was! A nurse entered the cubicle asking who I was (still no Id). Was taken to EAU and sat next to a bed for 2hrs until could be made, finally got to lie down around 8am in pain no relief, taken to ward, no usual daily medicine offered. Doctor changed decision of surgery to go to another ward, no food left kind nurse did find me soup & a roll. Taken for a viginal scan not stomach? Sent to another ward in pain left for over 1hr in agony until doc could perscribe stronger tablets (moaning in front of room of patients & visitors is embarrassing). When tablets were working finally slept for 30 mins until woken by students asking to use me for training and service questionaire lady. Thought a shower would help me sleep, the room had 3 bowls of patients urine & poo which was still there 6 hours later, finally got discharged 11am waited until around 5 pm for a box of paracetamol and a junior doctor sent to tell me they can't find the problem. After over 2 days of sat waiting, wrong scan, around 3 hrs sleep on/off, hardly any food, no washing, had no usual medicine, left in pain, and no follow up treatment planned. I left hospital absolutely disgusted with my treatment and what I had seen on the wards with other patients.
