"Maternity Services"

I have just had my first baby at Dewsbury Hospital on the 23rd May 2014 and cannot express enough thanks and give enough praise for the service, care and support I and my baby received. With it being my first baby I was unsure what would happen, however upon arriving at the Maternity Triage, then taken to the Labour Ward, then later the Delivery Suite each step of the way I and my Husband were kept fully informed and treated which such care and understanding the whole experience was fantastic. The birth was a little scary, due to my baby's heartbeat dropping which could have resulted in an emergency C Section however with the expertise and encouragement of the Consultant and Midwives I was able to have a normal delivery. When my baby was born the cord was twice round her neck and once round her body, but there was not sense of panic and everything was dealt with quickly resulting in a perfect baby daughter. I stayed in the Delivery Suite until they discharged us which was fantastic, having had her at 0033, I was home for 0750 the same morning!!!! We cannot thank all the staff from start to finish looking after us all, going the extra mile and being truly professional and personal. I can honestly say that I am so pleased I chose Dewsbury to have my baby and if I have another baby I will return and shall recommend the services to all!!!
