"A and E Emergency Visit"

I was taken to Exeter A and E last Sunday morning, having fallen down a long flight of stone steps. The treatment I received by paramedics was excellent - they arrived very quickly - all staff I encountered were incredibly helpful, concerned for me, worked well together, introduced themselves, explained exactly what they were doing, and were incredibly professional. All in all I was in the department for about 8 hours. I was seen immediately, then was waiting for various scans, x-rays, tests etc. OK, so it was a wait, but I'd rather wait than have any mistakes made - this was my life and well-being in the balance. I'd like to say thank you to all staff involved and, for once, it's reassuring to know that my taxes and NI are going to a worthwhile cause.
