"Ward 37"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

My mother was admitted with back pain and confusion due to an UTI. Although the staff did care, they were too busy to nurse her properly. She was left alone with her food which she struggled to eat and spilled over herself. She failed to drink enough and became dehydrated. She waited over 40 mins for assistance after pressing call button when she wanted to be put back into bed. Staff did not listen to our concerns when her confusion returned and she was deteriorating.

Dear reviewer, Thank you for taking the time to post your comment. We are really sorry to hear that your mother did not receive the high level of care we expect our patients to receive. We would like to look into your concerns further so we can improve our service for future patients, but in order to do so, we need some extra information from you. If you are happy to do so, please could you email communications@uhl-tr.nhs.uk and let us know your mother's details (name, address, date of birth, hospital number), which ward and department your mother was in at the Royal? Kind regards, Communications team Leicester's Hospitals
