"Fairly easy to find way around."

About: Lister Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Fairly easy to find way around.

What could be improved

Upon awaiting x-ray, you told to put on robe in advance then you have to wait in reception.

Not only is this humiliating to have everyone stare at you as you come in sitting around in just a robe, but they also have the air con on in winter which means you freeze in your robe.

Humiliating patients and risking their health, this is not a good hospital.

A separate warmer area MUST be provided, the current situation is completely unacceptable.

We're sorry that your experience of the Trust's x-ray service was not a positive one. We wonder if you raised these issues with the senior radiographer in charge, who may have been able to help you on the day?

A major expansion of the Lister's emergency services area is being planned that will help to overhaul buildings that date back to the 1970s. We are sure that this work will address your concerns.

Our overall message remains that when in hospital, patients and/or their carers who have an issue with any aspect of our services should please talk to our senior clinical staff. We have duty matrons in all our hospitals, part of whose role is to help sort problems out at the time, if at all possible.
