Had sciatic pain and hip pain for five years, increased when sitting, unfortunately MRI scans cannot be performed when sitting. Scans show little. Physios only offer me exercises. Paid for private physio who manipulated my body and have had some pain relief albeit not cured. I feel that staff ay north tees on orthopaedics aren't interested. I saw one woman a year or so ago, she was quite late seeing me and didn't even apologise for being late. As you will appreciate your anxious and desperate when experiencing chronic pain so a little courtesy would go along way. All the way along I feel I've been passed from pillar to post and had no consistency. Why can't one person be responsible and oversee the treatment etc. also saw a dr about my hip, was in bus room for less than five minutes I lifted a leg and the letter which came from him said I was fine with a normal gait. I walked about 3steps if that from the chair to bed. I am really disillusioned with the nhs. Oh and from a tax payers viewpoint, I'm a social worker and totally run ragged at work. Over the five years visiting this hospital and james cook I see nurses stood around chatting waiting outside of rooms to stand in while examined by a dr. I feel nhs money could be spent a whole lot better. I'll end there I am such an optimistic person but feel that this hospital really don't care..........
