"We arrived at A&E around 6pm one night this week...."

About: Lincoln County Hospital

We arrived at A&E around 6pm one night this week. My 5 year old son was suffering from very severe phimosis. We had already been to our GP regarding this who had made an appointment at Louth Hospital for him to be treated but on this night he started to bleed quite badly. From what happened from here on was nothing short of amazing. Time and reality seems to stand still in hospital but its only now I am home I can comprehend the events. I can't begin to explain how lucky me and my little man have been. If it were not for every porter, support worker, nurse, doctor, surgeon, my son would still be withering in pain. All responses were ' its none emergency', '4 month waiting list' thrown at me from each and everyone but that they would 'ask/try' to seek a resolution there and then. Each one went above and beyond to do the most unimaginable. This is a team that for whatever reason came together, like the ripple affect. The actions of each and everyone determined the outcome. What should have taken 4 months was accomplished within 24 hours. It was outstanding. I cried on the way in and cried with joy on the way out. They all made my little boy smile. This happened at the Lincoln Hospital. My 5 year old was admitted to the Rainforest ward. Amongst all of these fantastic people there is one that stood out and I would love for people to know. She was one of the nurses on the ward my son was on. She deserves a huge thank you. My son loved his chocolate egg.
