After being transferred from my local hospital to Medway due to acute tonsillitis I was seen quickly by a doctor and found a bed on Sunderland ward to start IV antibiotics. All of the nursing staff and doctors showed great care and compassion and really put me at ease. I myself am a midwife and found it interesting to be a patient for a change. The whole team on Sunderland ward are a credit to Medway hospital. I was treated with care and compassion and at all times made to feel comfortable. The ward was kept clean and tidy at all times and I was asked frequently asked if I would like a hot drink. Other ladies on the ward also spoke highly of care they had received during their stay. Well done to all the team, you're doing a fantastic job and I would highly recommended you to any of the women I see for ENT care.
