"A very special nurse at the John Radcliffe Hopital "

Yolande is a Nurse who is currently based on the Specialist Surgery Ward, Level 0 in the John Radcliffe Hopital in Oxford.

She is one of the kindest, helpful, understanding and caring nurses I have had the pleasure in meeting, as well as being SUPER efficient!

She has a natural calming influence that has been vital for some of the patients on this ward, many of whom are scared and frightened by their diagnosis. Without her presence on the ward my mother certainly would not have coped, I'm sure! She has told us all how Yolande makes her feel so much brighter and more positive.

This 'Super Nurse' is welcoming to family members and makes us feel content that our mother is being properly cared for when we leave. She makes you feel like you have known her for years, although still highly professional in her duties at the same time!

All the nurses on this ward are fabulous, but I have to say that Yolande stands out from the crowd as having that something extra to give her patients.

She has superb nursing skills, superb social skills and is highly skilled in managing her workload to the highest of standards.

If all NHS nurses were like Yolande, hospitals would be a much better place to have to be in!

I fully intend to bring these comments to the attention of the hospital's Chief Nurse, Head Nurse the Specialty itself and the Chief Executive. This lady deserves SO MUCH CREDIT and is worth her weight in gold!

Having worked in a hospital for some 15 years I do not write these comments lightly. I respect this nurse 110% for the hard work she puts in everyday. She goes over and above her duties and, although VERY busy, is always professional, cheerful and pleasant ..... no matter what!
