"Total abdominal hysterectomy"

About: Royal Oldham Hospital

I was admitted to Ward F1 on the 9 September for a full abdominal hysterectomy and was discharged today the 12 September. I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff, surgical team, nurses, healthcare assistants and the cleaner who treated me with care, respect and dignity laced with a good sense of humour as well as a shoulder to cry on. I was very nervous about the operation and aftercare but my fears were quickly dispelled on both counts. If you have to be admitted to Ward F1 have no fear you will be in the hands of angels.
