"Urology"

I cannot believe that in this day and age there is still no real communication from this department. Having had one cystocopy I was told that I would need a follow up one in 6-8 weeks. I received my appointment and duly arrived well before my appointment time only to be told 3 hours later that the doctor hadn't bothered to turn up for the clinic. We will send you another appointment I was told, after waiting 8 weeks for said appointment to arrive I decided that I should phone and find out what was going on... No appointment had been made and by the time I received my appointment 5 months had passed! From this appointment I was told that I needed biopsies and these were duly done some weeks later. I am now trying to find out the results as the hospital think it's ok to keep me waiting 6 weeks! Unbelievable. Do they not realise how much stress that puts a person under. I can understand the hospital is busy but it might be a good idea to realise that you are dealing with people not bloody hospital numbers. I too have left messages on people's answer phones to no avail
