"Length of time for intial appointment"

About: Leicester General Hospital

I'm very disappointed that after being advised by the GP on 29th August that I was having seizures, I have today received an appointment for the 11 November. This seems unacceptably long to me especially as the seizures are still continuing and I have been told not to drive and I need the car for work as I visit people at home.

Dear reviewer, We have spoken to the Neurology service, who have confirmed that we deal with all GP referrals in line with National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines, and you will have been given the first available apppointment with the clinic. However, if you would like to discuss this further, you can speak to our specialist nurse by calling switchboard on 0300 303 1573 and asking for Lucy Murena, or by email Lucy.Murena@uhl-tr.nhs.uk Kind regards Communications Team Leicester's Hospitals
