"insect ridden casualty rooms"

About: St Helier Hospital

A relation was taken to casualty room 2 of St Heliers. The window sill which is partially enclosed by the electrics was full of dead insects, broken curtain rail and what looked like clinical waste. I would like to share pictures but there doest seem to be the option to do that. It seems strange thst thid area has been overlooked for cleaning given the condition of people brought into the room. The care of the doctors and staff was brilliant.

Thank you for your feedback. We are concerned to hear your complaints about our clinical areas and would like to investigate this matter further. We will pass this feedback on to the appropriate staff. We would also be very appreciative if you could call our Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 020 8296 2508 to discuss the specifics with us. If you still wish to, you can share pictures with us at pals@esth.nhs.uk.
