"Really appalling service"

About: St James's University Hospital

I would urge other IBD patients to avoid this hospital. I was ignored and treated without any respect despite presenting with symptoms which turned out to be a serious condition. My symptoms were left untreated for over a year despite many calls to the IBD line for help and I was spoken to with no respect by the consultant when he eventually saw me months later despite me being very ill at the time. Not the place to go for anyone vulnerable with an illness who needs help. Certainly don't attend on your own as an ill patient.
