"Endoscopy"

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to the staff within the Alexandra Redditch Endoscopy unit and for looking after me so well on the last weekend in August.

I had an gastroscopy and colonoscopy at the same time and after having a traumatic time previously at a private hospital during a gastroscopy, I was frankly terrified. My previous experience I was given no sedation, was held strongly by a couple of staff whilst the camera was inserted and gagged my way through the awful procedure. This time at the Alex couldn't have been different. All of the staff in and out of the theatre were marvellous, so kind, gentle and reassuring. The sedation was just right I was semi awake but felt no discomfort or panic and I was taken care of totally. What a difference to my previous procedure. The endoscopy team need to be congratulated on their superior level of care and a big thank you to everyone who looked after me.
