I realised I needed treatment for a soft corn which was bleeding and inflamed as I am diabetic and am conscious that good foot care is important. I rang Shrewsbury Podiatry and foot health services at the end of June to ask for treatment and nail cutting. I was referred back to my doctors for registration because strangely I was told my registration had lapsed, at the same time I was informed nail cutting was no longer provided, bearing in mind I am nearly 85 and can no longer bend to do it myself. Indeed the last time I did it myself I cut 2 toes which bled for 3 days.
I know I am not writing about your service which was excellent. Your replied the next day, my complaint is the podiatry service who offered me an appointment for early September which was rearranged for 8 days later, because of a cancellation at my doctors the examination took place last week less nail cutting.
Obviously I have had to make my own arrangements for corn care and nail cutting.
