"Hospital feedback"

About: Russells Hall Hospital

Dear Sir/Madam, All too often we hear of complaints. I'd like to offers compliments. I had a traumatic time of things recently and the whole experience was helped by the outstanding care and attention from the staff on ward B5, Gynae ward. I was admitted for a scheduled TAH on 26/6/14. Op went well, but I had complications which were picked up by your staff (nurses and doctors). They swiftly took me for an emergency laparoscopy on 4/7/14. I was then on B4 for 2 weeks. I want, on this occasion, to highlight the fantastic care I received on B5 from the staff there. There were a team of super support workers, but I especially want to thank one who was so kind, caring, cheerful, efficient, alert and helpful - the image of what care should look like. I want to end by extending my deepest thanks to the caring consultant. I wish all doctors had such excellent bedside manners and showed the same genuine care. Thank you. I am grateful. My thanks to all who cared for me.

Thank you for taking time to leave such lovely feedback about your experience of ward B5. It is always wonderful to receive such positive comments from patients and is a real morale boost for our staff. Making sure our patients are looked after in line with our Trust values of care, respect and responsibility is very important to us, so it fantastic to hear that we succeeded in doing this during what sounds like a very worrying time for you. We aim to offer the highest standard of care and so we are so pleased you were impressed by our doctors and nurses. We will pass your kind words on to the teams and individuals involved in your care. Thank you.
