"Excellent diagnosis & treatment"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

I recently had the misfortune to contract Guillen-Barre Syndrome which is a rare viral infection which effectively attacks the nervous system leaving you nearly paralysed. A & E quickly diagnosed my condition after CT scan & bloods I was transferred to the Harvey Ward. I cannot praise enough the whole staff of this ward for their caring, professional attention - nothing was ever too much trouble. After 5 days of IV immunoglobin I recovered 90 percent of my mobility and am now at home quickly recovering my stamina through physiotherapy. Thank you Medway Hospital and our wonderful NHS.

It's really good to hear about the details of your experience and we really appreciate you sharing them. I will of course ensure that Harvey Ward receive your feedback. More importantly, it's great to hear that you are recovering quickly. All the best Katy White Head of Nursing - Emergency Department
