"Care after my stroke"

About: Royal Berkshire Hospital

I suffered a stroke at the age of 48 and was cared for from start to finish in the Royal Berks. How proud I am of such a wonderful hospital - from A and E right through to the incredible Acute Stroke Unit they were marvellous - this was two weeks ago and I cannot praise them highly enough. Thank you thank you thank you - I am back to normal and it's all thanks to your incredible team.

Thank you for your encouragement and praise for the staff on the Acute Stroke Unit and in the Emergency Department here at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. We are incredibly proud of their commitment and hard work and are very pleased that you are recovering well and to hear that we played a positive part in that. We appreciate your feedback as we strive hard to ensure that patients have a good experience when attending the hospital and it is always good to read the success stories. The matrons for the two areas will ensure your comments are fed back to their teams.
