"Emergency Visit to a&e"

About: Royal Derby Hospital

My husband was admitted by ambulance at approx. 0.35 on Friday 5th September and we have nothing but praise for every member of staff we came into contact with as well as the first responder and the paramedics. Our first thoughts were that his drooping mouth and eye were symptoms of a stroke but we were reassured when Bell's Palsy turned out to be the cause. We had complete confidence in everyone we spoke to and went home at 4.40 feeling much relieved. Thank you to everyone on duty that night.

Many thanks for your very kind comments regarding your husband's recent visit to our hospital. Our staff aim to provide a high standard of service to all our patients and we were therefore very pleased to hear that you felt this aim had been achieved on this occasion. I will ensure that your kind comments are shared with the appropriate staff as I am certain they will also be most appreciative. Once again, many thanks for taking the time to provide us with this important feedback and may I take the opportunity to wish you and your family very best wishes for the future. Kind regards Deborah Furness, member of the Patient Experience Team for Derby Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
