"Pre Assessment Unit & Pathology"

I had an appointment this morning (5th Sept 14) in the Pre Assessment Unit and found all the staff to be so friendly and professional. When I booked the appointment I was told that I should expect to be there for up to 3 hours but in the end I was only there for 1 hour. The unit did not have anyone on site to take bloods and the nurses were very apologetic about it. They asked me if it was ok if I went to the Pathology Dept to have them taken and I didn't have a problem with this as it is on the way to the bus stop at the main entrance. I only had to wait about 40 - 50 minutes until I was called through to have my blood taken. I am extremely fearful of needles so when the nurse quickly took the blood and then said she was finished I was surprised and delighted because I hadn't felt a thing! She is absolutely amazing at taking blood! Please can you pass my thanks to all the staff in the Pre Assessment Unit and Pathology for an exceptionally happy experience.
