"The treatment I had was wonderful in the ambulance "

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as the patient),

In mid-July at around 7 am I had severe pain in my chest and was sweating. My wife dialled 999 and was given info about giving me an asprin.

Within 5 minutes an ambulance was at the door, and 2 men, one called John West, were helping me. I was hooked up to a machine, diagnosed and given medication for the pain. I was then taken to the Jubilee hospital in Glasgow within 1 and a half hours.

The treatment I had was wonderful in the ambulance and I felt very cared for. I think the care and speed it was done have enabled me to recover quickly as I have. Well done John West and driver.

Dear Peer710,

Thank you for using Patient Opinion to let us know how happy you are with the care you received from one of our crews.

We really do appreciate it when patients take the time to tell us of their experiences. If you would like to email me at ajohnson18@nhs.net with some further information (address the crew attended and the date of the call) I will contact the crew involved and pass on your kind feedback.

Best wishes,

Andrew
