What I liked
My husband was admitted for an angiogram. The day care ward was full of patients from A&E, but the Sister worked ( successfully) to accomodate all those who were to be admitted that day.
Unfortunately, he experienced a post procedural stroke. We had been made aware of the possibility of side effects beforehand, but nevertheless, it is a shock to experience such a catastrophic effect.
Throughout his stay on Caroline ward, we felt supported, and well cared for. He made a remarkable recovery, very much due to the excellent care he ( and I ) received. Well done. St. George's, and thank you.
What could be improved
Access to tea for those visitors who found themselves marooned overnight unexpectedly. The coffee machines were frequently non functioning, but the cafe on the AM wing ground floor was excellent.
