"Admission Procedure - Day Patient"

About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I had an appointment for day care surgery under Mr Aslam. The appointment letter told me to be in by 7.45am. I have to allow 45 minutes to travel by private transport - longer by bus.. The reception desk at Beech 3 ~Ward was not staffed until 7 am. I did not know that and telephoned repeatedly without success before leaving home. I left not knowing if I could be admitted.

In fact I was and the treatment was excellent and the nursing superb.
